Naqqash Thoufeek : Just went through your website while searching for some information. Let me introduce myself - am Naqqash from Chennai. We are running a Travel agency for the last few years and recently have planned to open an Export and Import firm to export Fresh Vegetables to Middle East. The buyer there is one of our close friend and he'll take care of the formalities there. We are planning to ship the Vegetables mostly from Mumbai port as the time of delivery to Gulf is shortest from there compared to Chennai. After going through your website, i got enough knowledge on the procedures to be followed between me and the buyer there. Now, my question is - how would you advise me as the best option to procure the Vegetables from here? 1) Should I visit the manufacturer directly, verify the goods, tell him my requirements, make an agreement, get the goods delivered at Port and then ship it from there or 2) Ask him to do the shipping directly to my buyer. If I choose Option 1, do I need to make an agreement with him that he is the supplier and obtain a Quality Certificate kind of thing or simply procure the Vegetables and proceed for shipping? Rather if I choose Option 2, what would be my role if the manufacturer himself ships the product? Being an expert, looking out for your advise in this regard. Please assist us.
