What is legalization of export documents? Who does certify export documents legally?
If you are an exporter, you would have experienced about legalization of export documents, as one of the terms mentioned in Purchase Order or Letter of Credit. What does this legalization of export documents mean? Where to apply for such legalization of documents under export? Why does importing country insists for legalization of export documents?
Some of the countries are very particular about the goods importing to their country, due to political or other government policies, especially importing of food products. So the said governments insist importers to produce legalized documents while customs clearance of the said country.
