Prem Kumar : I have a basic query on the export procedure. If possible, and if you are comfortable, can you kindly answer my below question?I intend to start an export business on agricultural products as an individual (predominantly vegetables). I have initiated the normal needed stuffs (IEC code and contacting buyers). However, while reading through your site information, I found that the invoice need to bear the firm name. How can we package and send goods as individual (without any company name)? Can you kindly state if that's possible?

pregina shabu : I am selling small value items (less than $150) abroad through ebay. My buyers by the item for their personal use and not for resale in their country. The quantity would be 1 or 2. I ship the item through India Post Registered and the parcel is very small. Daily I will be sending 5-10 shipments. My queries are, 1. I have applied for IEC code, after getting IEC code, what all documents should I attach with the parcel? 2. Do I need to attach these documents outside the parcel or inside the parcel? My parcel box is so small that it will be difficult to attach 2-3 documents outside. 3. How many copies of each document should I attach? 4. Do I need to fulfill all the formalities that big exporters are doing? 5. Where I have to mention the IEC code?

Anaïs FAVERIE - Galerie Marc Maison: We are a French company ("Cheminées d'Art") and we are specialized in marble mantel manufacturing. We also have an other company in Udaipur : "Maison & Maison Marble Concept". We send from France several marble elements which need to be sculpted in the company in Udaipur. This is a TEMPORARY IMPORTATION in India so all marble elements come back to France after the sculpting work. Our shipper is FEI (Freight Express International) based in Mumbai. We have several problems with this shipper who is asking lot of papers and exportation documents. As an example : the shipper asks a BRC document but we can't have it from our bank, so the shipment is stuck with the customs. It's been a year since we try to work like this but now it's quite impossible to continue by our own.

These watches are purely for collection purpose and not for resale purpose. 3 watches I have brought from Ebay Uk and the same has arrived through DHL vide waybill no- 2410675961 in india and is in customs. Now the customs officers(Courier Cell) requires an NOC from your department. This is absolutely for the first time I am facing this issue. I have attached herewith the Ebay Order details, PayPal payments details as well as bank remittance details for your reference. I am absolutely not aware as to how to obtain an NOC from the Archaeological Survey of India. After going through the net I have found out that NOC from Archaeological Survey of India is required in case of old valueless coins could not get any information on NOC required for old mechanical watches. micheal: I bought an antique meerschaum pipe from an auction house in Rome. They are saying to export this item it will take 60-90 days. They have been giving me the run around about ti. I spoke with one shipping company and they said they have never heard about things taking that long unless the item is on specific list which antique pipes are not. Could you help me in sorting out what is truth about this.
