CPT delivery terms, buyer or seller to unload goods at destination?

Unloading of goods at named place, who is responsible under CPT terms?

According to International Chamber of Commerce, the responsibility to unload the goods under CPT terms is with the Buyer. Why?

Many exporters and importers ask questions to the author of this post about responsibility to unload goods under Inco terms 2020.   As I have mentioned in previous posts, if the tree letter words does not carry the letter ‘U’,  the seller is not responsible for unloading the goods at destination named place under Inco Terms.   In other words, the buyer is responsible for the costs and damages under unloading of goods at named destination for all inco terms rules except under DPU where the rule clearly mentioned.

So, it is clear that the liability of costs and risks involved in unloading goods under CPT is with the buyer.  Any loss occurred during unloading of goods at named destination place under CPT is on account of importer under an Export Import Trade.
