CIF terms, Importer or Exporter responsible to unload the goods?

Who takes care of unloading at named destination place if terms are on CIF basis?

As you know under CIF terms, the exporter undertakes the cost of movement of goods up to the named location mentioned in Importer’s country.  The exporter takes responsibility to move the goods from his premises to port of loading at his country and pays main carriage.  However, the risk of exporter ends at the time of loading goods on board the vessel.

Who undertakes the cost and risk of unloading goods at destination named port?  According to incoterms rules, the unloading of goods at destination is under importer’s account.  Usually, under CFR terms,  port authorities at destination named port unload the goods and the charges are paid by the importer.

In short, under CFR terms, the buyer (Importer) is responsible for the cost and risk of unloading at named destination in importer’s country.
