Compare between EXW and DDP under Incoterms 2020
Delivery takes places at Buyer’s country under DDP whereas the delivery takes place at Seller’s country under EXW.
Pre carriage, export clearance, main carriage, import customs clearance and taxes, and on carriage to named place are taken care by buyer under EXW, but Seller under DDP terms.
Costs and risks ends when goods place at seller’s place at exporter’s country under EXW where as risks and costs of seller ends at named place in buyer’s country under DDP.
The delivery takes place at seller’s named place before pre carriage under EXW where as delivery takes place in buyer’s country when goods are ready for delivery at named place at buyer’s side under DDP.
