Step by step procedures to export from Brazil

If you need to export goods or services, a onetime registration procedure is being completed in most of the countries. Such export licence may be obtained from concerned government department if required in Brazil.

For export, a company must be enlisted with the RFB Receita Federal do Brazil. Such enrolment, known as RADAR, provides access to the coordinated foreign trade system (SISCOMEX), because all import and export transactions in Brazil must be made through SISCOMEX.

In order to perform any foreign trade operation, the importer/exporter must first be registered with Secex through Siscomex. But, before being able to access Siscomex, the importer/exporter will require a Radar license - a license granted by the Receita Federal do Brazil, which is the Brazilian Federal Revenue, different from the Import License, that is issued by Siscomex.

Siscomex stands for Sistema Integrado de Comércio Exterior which is a computerized system, and responsible for integrating information on foreign trade operations such as Registry, Follow up, Control

The exporter must be registered with the Secretariat for Foreign Trade (SECEX), have a registration number in the national register of persons (CPF) or in the national tax register (CGC) for export clearance.

The Customs Department of Brazil is under Receita Federal. It controls the import and export activities going on, in the country.

The document requirement is depends on the country of origin or destination. The appropriate documents should be submitted with authorities.

Generally in all countries there are three stages of process for export.
