Explain the term NOC

Why do you require a NOC?

No Objection Certificate (NOC) is a legal document which is demanded in numerous places like government departments, educational institutions, banks and other organizations. This certificate may be issued by any organization, agency or institute and also by individuals where the contents of the NOC means not objecting the contracts as said in the certificate.

For getting NOC a person has to apply to the concerned authority. A No Objection Certificate from Commodity Board might be required for certain items on import/export to protect local manufacturers of such commodity. Different countries have their own foreign trade policy (FTP) on importation and exportation of various commodities to safeguard life, environment and socio economic status. There are different commodity boards in each country to safe guard manufacturers of such commodity.
