What are Outbound Logistics?

 

Outbound Logistics is the transportation or outward movement of finished products from the company premises or manufacturing unit to the buyer.  It includes all those activities that involve dealing or trading in goods produced by the company. The outbound logistics process begins with a customer sales order, goes on to warehouse packing and completes with product delivery. Once again, we can explain Outbound Logistics as it is all about collecting, warehousing, packaging and distribution of final product and related information flows, from the organization to the end user.
