Facilitation Centre

Introduction

The Facilitation Centre (FC) shall be responsible for the digitization and/or uploading of the forms and documents including summary sheet duly signed by the Authorized Signatory and given to it by the taxable person. After uploading the data on common portal using the ID and Password of FC, a printout of acknowledgment will be taken and signed by the FC and handed over to the taxable person for his records.

Submission through Facilitation Centre

The return can also be submitted by the taxpayer through any Facilitation Centre (FC) notified by the Tax authorities and selected by the taxpayer at GST System. The taxpayer shall make available the requisite documents to the FC. Facilitation Centre shall be responsible for the uploading of all types of return given to it by the taxable person. After uploading the data on the common portal using the ID and Password of FC, the GSTN system will generate an email/SMS for the taxpayer.

Registration of Tax Return Preparers /Facilitation Centre will be done by CBEC / respective State Tax authorities and the registration data will be shared with GSTN to enable applicants/taxpayers to choose one from the available list of registered TRPs/FCs.

The filing may be done either directly or by using Third Party Apps or Software which interacts with GST System using APIs or even through Facilitation Centre (FC).
