Negative Certificate Of Origin - A document which states that goods, or any part of the goods, were not produced in a country from which the buyer refuses to accept goods or produce.

Net Profit - (also known as your bottom line) is the total gross profit minus all business expenses.

net worth: The total value of a business in financial terms. Net worth is calculated by subtracting total liabilities from total assets.

 

Net Yield - The profit from an investment after taxes, costs and all other expenses have been deducted.

 

Net Book Value:  With respect to a business enterprise, the difference between total assets (net of depreciation, depletion and amortization) and total liabilities as they appear on the balance sheet (synonymous with Shareholder's Equity) With respect to a specific asset, the capitalized cost less accumulated amortization or depreciation as it appears on the books of account of the business enterprise

 

Net Cash Flow:  Cash available for distribution after taxes and after the effects of  financing - calculated as net income plus depreciation less expenditures required  for working capital and capital items

 

Net-Centric - Activities, communities, services, information, etc., interconnected by the Internet.

 

Netiquette - A set of informal rules and regulations that govern Internet etiquette, i.e., the acceptable behaviour of people on the World Wide Web.

 

Networker - A person who meets and builds relationships with other people in order to make business or social contacts.

 

New Issue - On the Stock Market, a share or bond which is offered to the public for the first time.

 

New Protectionism - Recent efforts to pressure national governments to exercise greater control over foreign trade and foreign direct investment.

 

Newbie - A newcomer or novice at something, especially on the Internet.

 

Newly Industrializing Countries (NIC) - A group of former developing countries who, due to high levels of economic growth, have grown rapidly in recent years.

 

New-to-export (NTE) - The name of the circumstances of a company that either engages in export activities for the first time, engages in exportation for first time in twenty-four months, or has only exported to because of prior unsolicited orders. Export assistance is available to companies with this classification.

 

New-to-market (NTM) - The name of the circumstances under which a company exports to a foreign market in which it has either never exported to, has not exported to for the past twenty-four months, or has only exported to because of prior unsolicited orders. Assistance is available to companies with this classification.
