Import Customs duty diminished as per budget 2015-16 for on AEC Digital Still Image Video Cameras,parts and components for Digital Cameras under HS code Chapter 85


As per Indian Budget 2015-16, the following customs import duty reductions have been declared under import of on Digital Still Image Video Cameras, parts and components for use in the manufacture of such Digital Cameras.

Read below the extract of government notification, under Indian Union Budget 2015-16


" Basic Custom Duty is being reduced from 10% to Nil on Digital Still Image Video Cameras capable of recording video with minimum resolution of 800x600 pixels, at minimum 23 frames per second, for at least 30 minutes in a single sequence, using the maximum storage (including the expanded) capacity. Notification No.12/2012-Customs, dated 17th March, 2012 as amended vide notification No.10/2015-Customs, dated 1st March, 2015 [new S.No.428A] refers. Basic Custom Duty is also being also reduced from 5% to Nil on parts and components for use in the manufacture of such Digital Cameras.
