Exemption of IGST for overseas film unit and TV team on import of camera equipment

 

No IGST payable on import of cameras, TV equipment by a foreign film unitAs per Customs Notification Number 12/2012 dated 17th March, 2012. Import duty exemption/concession has been allowed to certain imported items specified.

 

As per GST Law 2017, no IGST is payable on Television equipment, cameras and other equipment for taking films, imported by a foreign film unit or television team based on Customs Notification 12/2012.
