Indian Union Budget 2014, Exemption of BCD to import de-oiled soya extract, groundnut oil cake/oil cake meal, sunflower oil cake/oil cake meal, canola oil cake/oil cake meal, mustard oil cake/oil cake meal, rice bran/rice bran oil cake and palm kernel cake.

 


Modi Government declared his first union budget on 10th July,2014 with some changes in excise and customs duty with service tax amendments. I would like to explain the details of changes in import customs duty under new Budget 2014 in a couple of articles in this website. The amendments and new notifications under new Budget 2014 will be in to force with effect from midnight of 10th July / 11th July, 2014.

 

Full exemption from BCD to de-oiled soya extract, groundnut oil cake/oil cake meal, sunflower oil cake/oil cake meal, canola oil cake/oil cake meal, mustard oil cake/oil cake meal, rice bran/rice bran oil cake and palm kernel cake.

 

Full exemption from basic customs duty is being granted to de-oiled soya extract, groundnut oil cake/oil cake meal, sunflower oil cake/oil cake meal, canola oil cake/oil cake meal, mustard oil cake/oil cake meal, rice bran/rice bran oil cake and palm kernel cake, up to 31.12.2014. Notification No.12/2012-Customs, dated 17th March, 2012 as amended by notification No.12/2014-Customs, dated the 11th July 2014 [new S.No.104D] refers.

We are manufacturing of Proteinex Cake. our raw material is De-oiled Ground Nut Cake. Please advice our intermediate Product is Protein Hydrolysate. That product is excise able or excise free.

We are a manufacturer Soya De oiled cake,solvent extracted for usage in poultry feeds production would like to know whether the exemption of basic duty passed for de oiled soya extract is applicable or not if now imported in 2015-2016. Please clarify.
