Sufyan: I'm Sufyan from Mumbai, India. Main purpose of writing to you is: I'm planning to export maida flour(all purpose flour) from India to UAE. I'm in talks with manufacturers from Mumbai and Gujarat. As this is my first work in exim field I have no idea if how to start it. Like what are the legal formalities and paper work. What are the port charges.. Are the charges if port in Gujarat(mundhra) and jnpt in Mumbai different? Will I need to make an export licence? Or can I simply hire a clearing agent to do the job? Shall I make it on fob or cif basis? What are the taxes and other additional charges involved? If you could give me the comets list of overheads that would be of great help.
