How does GSTR1 work under GST return filing?

What is GSTR? How does it work in GST regime of tax returns?  Who has to file GSTR 1 under GST in India?  When to file GSTR 1?  What are the details of GSTR 1?

 

GSTR 1 is monthly Statement of Outward supplies of Goods or Services filed by registered person.

 

GSTR1 reflects outward supplies of previous month of a taxable person’s business declaring by 10th day of month.

 

The GSTR1 signifies the tax liability of the supplier for the supplies affected during the previous month.   GSTR 1 needs to be filed by the 10th of every month in relation to supplies affected during the previous month.
