As per Inco terms of shipping, DAT means Delivered at Terminal (named destination mentioned). CFR means, Cost and Freight (up to the destination mentioned).

Tong: Both terms are in essence similar - cost up to an agreed destination is paid by the seller and thereafter by the buyer. I guess the main difference is that DAT seems more relating to international trade rather than local, where as CNF/CFR could apply to any trade - local and international. I am not an expert, but that seems to be a difference and not a significant one as such.
